Make sure you download and install the latest OpenAL here: http://www.openal.org/creative-installers/oalinst.zip Apologies for the rough edges, we're still quite early into development. You can see the current state of simulation by clicking Simantics & Lot Debug, and occasionally talk to other people on the city screen.
Yes, that's why I said "and occasionally talk to other people on the city screen"... as a separate thing from Simantics and Lot Debug...
