I (re)downloaded the files today and have 409

The freeso installer is updating for me, I clicked install everything, it asked if I wanted to redownload TSO and I said no, and now it's updating it

My build is 409? Is that good? And I still can't register (Unknown error) and log into the game to play. Has anyone been successful or is this just me?

Quick question. On the register page, is the "username" what our Sim name will be? And, am I correct in that it can't be changed?

It now says "FreeSO account registration will be available momentarily."

I'm guessing word got out about this and the demand is HUGE. That's the issue.

No, it will just be the name you use to log in.

Are you able to play?

That username will be your login name. When you get logged in to the game you get a 'create a character' screen where you name your sim. In the original TSO you could have 3 - each in a different city.

Registration button disappeared from the download page. Well, it's midnight here. Is there any possibility it will be back in an hour?

And, the install updater wants me to re-download The Sims Online even though it's already on my system. Is this normal?

EDIT: Skipped that step. It just took a second to start downloading the new FreeSO. Sorry for hogging the thread!

Click install everything and then it should ask you if you want to reinstall the game, say no. It worked for me!

I guess we just got to wait until the registration page is up and working so we can get registered and be able to log into the game and play?
