Getting custom objects to load (Simitone)

    Another support thread now that I know that custom objects should work with Simitone, unless I'm mistaken?

    I placed my custom objects here: <Path>\Simitone 3D\Release\Content\Objects

    They are, unfortunately, not loading. Wasn't able to find a guide or any info on this elsewhere, so I hope it's okay to ask this here.

    I'm not sure if Simitone is currently loading objects from there. I think it's only loading *.far from "The Sims/Downloads" right now.

    Hey Rhys, thank you so much for replying! :)

    Then theoretically, following this guide using a tool to merge .iff files into a .far one: , and then place that file into The Sims/Downloads would then make Simitone load the objects? Would be cool to experiment with this and also load 3D mode to see the result of the generated meshes.

    Yes, I think that should work. A future version will also load *.iff from that location too - though you might have trouble placing it without buy mode.

    Hey again! This worked great. I had already built the house and just adding the .iff files to a .far and placing it in the correct folder loaded all of them. Some flooring and a wall type did not load though (I'm sure they're not custom ones, though). Naturally, the generated meshes were broken, some looked better and some looked worse. Many of the original objects look really good though.
