Next milestone - Tigris

    Since it looks like the current milestone, Ra II, will be finished in a record breaking time - mainly due to superb help from RHY3756547 - I've already created the next milestone in Github.
    This milestone is named Tigris after Thor Heyerdahls third weed boat, and will set out to accomplish the following goals:

    • Ingame chat and mail system.
    • DB backend support for lots.
    • (Un)finished lot rendering and build mode?

    New goals may be added later, but these are already pretty hairy goals, and should take a reasonable amount of time to complete (especially the last one).
    The ingame chat and mail system is the first thing I'll be tackling, and this should be pretty fun to implement, and pretty fun to have implemented (because people'll be able to chat with each other!)
    I've set the deadline for this milestone to 31st of december 2014. This might change down the line, though.

    OMG, OMG, OMG! May I suggest support for smaller resolutions, and an option to disable, scale, or move the debug button to fit?

    The client already supports 640x480 (can be configured in the settings file), but defaults to 1024x768 because that's already too small for most modern PCs. Come to think of it, Tigris should enable 1024x768 without the blue border around it!

    Oh. o.o I thought it was permanently set to 1024x768 in window.

    YEEEEEEES!!!, thank you once again Project Dollhouse Team for restoring a piece of my childhood! I even noticed you recently got the sim select screen and city map both playing random music tracks from the game client now too. Makes the game feel new again yet at the same time it's still the same familiar sims 1 music we all know and love from the various games! :D

    It took 2 years to get Kon Tiki. This is half the time. Just be patient, unless you want to pitch in and do a bit :)

    I want to colaborate but i dont have enought chsharp programming or xna framework experience, i can be patient, but are little dissapointed with that sentence..

    I might suggest that if Afr0 ever needs to test the server's player limit all he has to do is add a link to the forums on the actual Project Dollhouse page, perhaps nex to the Gallery button? i'm just not sure how many people watching this project know about the forums as well. :)

    We've got a good (not really if you think about it...) testers:bugs ratio right now, so load stress testing would be overkill at the moment; the servers would crash 24/7!

    !! Announcement !!

    I would just like to say,Since the beginning of this TSO restoration,I would like to say now,Each of us had at least one huge contribution,especially Rhy since he actually did A LOT on city renderings,Which is of COURSE required to play xD,Afr0 for starting the game's project,and hosting servers and all,HIGHEST of all important,And alot of us who also take in to doing some beta testing for the game. Call me out if i over-react here,But if we keep going well at all this speed,Then i would like to say,Maybe we will accomplish not just one,or two milestones,but maybe even 4 possibly. In this case i would like to congratulate everyone on this forum for each of our great courage in testing. Yes this announcement was just too random,But i feel like i NEEDED to get this out. And there are many helpers and testers,can't name them all,sorry.

    We all are doing excellent,And we need to continue that Excellence. And maybe the deadline of the entire game is probably 2015 Q2(more like between middle months.) So in this case,We can do it,We're TSO Freaks! (I know i can come up with a name WAY better then that. >.<) And we will bring this game back!!! ONE BY ONE!!!


    (I think i put too much courage at once as i hesitated to post this....)

    I must say - first off, LOVE the new Site! :D:D
    It would be wonderful to be back in the game at the end of the year... what a way to roll into the new 2015 :D:D

    TSO only kept you logged in for as long as you played. However, it did keep last known username.
