    Part of my Interaction Patches Bundle (Talk To + Whisper): Whisper Overhaul - Complete and Tested

    Changes
    • More Reactions! The Second sim doesn't have to agree all the time... right? Either way, sometimes when you find out on a secret, it's too late, and your recipient might not appreciate you telling him/her old news.
    • Fix Rel+ and social (Social: 5, STR: 2, LTR: 1) being applied before sims even route to each other. Making it less abusive.
    • Fix whispering sim being stuck until recipient finishes animating.
    • Whisper is no longer a loop, making it more probable as an interaction.
    • Can be exited on demand.

    this will sound funny but do sims normally walk everywhere? seems like they used to run by default especially if it was a long distance.

    I know what you're talking about, yeah sims in ts1 did walk a lot, and I seem to remember run being used rarely. The closest to this as far as I know in freeso is being able to change walk style to run or walk via simantics. (Like the soccer ball for example) Or of course you could just run here before interaction :p

    other things, this is gonna sound stupid too, but it would be awesome if all the appliances, furniture, decorations, etc. gave maximum score so that
    one isnt forced into using the "most expensive" furniture and food etc. i know this doesnt balance with the curve of earning better items, but since money isnt
    an object, it would be nice if the lesser designed objects performed as well as the best ones. this would add variety to the game and would make them equal in popularity
    sometimes you dont want to use the same chairs and beds that everyone uses because it doesnt fit with your houses theme, but its hard to do when other objects perform
    better. an option would be to just change their stats, or add the ability to tailor each items stats.

    like if i want to use the yellow chairs or the bouncy pink chairs, they are practically useless for comfort so they are almost never seen. this would be a nicely needed change.

    I can't just make every piece of furniture 20k simoleons. They would still have to be cheap and terrible, but upgradable.

    Wait, what?! Is that something you've been considering having a go at? Because that would be FANTASTIC!! (Having a ginormous squee moment at the mere prospect. I have wanted that in several games including TSO) Something associated with mechanics skill level?

    It's something I'm interested in, but it would likely need engine modifications to allow remapping the constants to the expensive ones, and probably a ton of object patches.

    Did I ever posted the upgrade system I had in mind on the forums, I know I had an idea for it but don't remember if I ever even got around to posting it/finishing it.

    You did. I think it's possible to make a special file format to specify upgrade paths for specific objects.
