Allow players to purchase a car and when they own it, arriving at a lot that has a parking area: the car will be "park" in there.... You get the idea. Cars just spawn in them

    ETA:
It should also be a new woohoo spot. It would add another nice use.

To encourage people to buy add, let's give a benefitial use by prelonging the time it takes to arrive on the lot via by foot. By default, taking a ride should also take less time. It would be great If you could pick up others friend from there house.

It should green up a little/40% of fun after going from lot to lot (unless the driver turns the radio off inside there). 25% If one chooses to take a snack from home. And of course - adds small bit of comform (cheap cars get not that much confy sitting). Also, the value of the car should also determine the Room motive and the outside enviroment should add up to it.

Also, lot owners or even roomates should have the option to forbid/car parkings/stalling on their If they wish.

Hmm.. Vehicles could be really neat I think, I'm guessing that the parking feature and having all of the cars load at a lot could be tough, but who knows! You could even allow stores to stock certain vehicles and make them super pricey as in a end-game sort of goal to strive for - for both the players, and store owners. I mean, how cool would it be to own/work for the Army Hummer? :D

Cars are my most desired addition for this game.

In TSO Beta, W.Wright was planning on instituting a travel cost (paid in motives. the l further you traveled the lower your motives were when you arrived). I forget if that actually got left in the live game; they definitely put it in during Beta. Considering the effect low motives had on skill decay at the time it was a really rough change! But its purpose was to encourage people to pick lots close to each other to frequent.
If FreeSO ever goes back to that idea, I could see people wanting vehicles to offset the effect. I can't really imagine it being cheaper than taking a cab to longer lots but status symbols, I guess?

I can say with certainty, however, that unless the lot I am building logically has a parking lot (like a mall) as part of the build, I would VERY much hate being forced to look at that thing constantly. Especially if one had to make it 24 cars large! That is an awful lot of my real estate eaten up by something I consider to be a hideous eyesore.

Cars seem more like a gimmick when you can literally teleport from one place to another.

So are windows. Why have them when you replace it and have a fence or empty wall? ;) Both are good decoration and can show you how rich/poor a player is in the game without needing to check out their lot.

Also, lot owners or even roomates should have the option to forbid/car parkings/stalling on their If they wish.

Windows contribute to lot design, let the light in etc. while cars would basically be an expensive, non-functional decoration that simply takes a lot of space. I'm pretty sure you could use that space in a more creative way.

As people already said in this thread, I'd want it if it wasn't conflicting with current game's design. If you'd already have to walk/take a cab or whatever, that would be a nice addition.

That cars space can be worth a woohoo perhaps? ;)

Cars are a must in order to properly "decorate" some lots.
I've got plenty of ideas that are currently impossible to achieve without adding cars to the game(at least as decorative items).
Drive-in theaters where waiters serve their customers while they are seated in their cars.
    Could just be role-play. I don't mind.
Having my own car dealership in TSO will be the best thing ever for me.

It surely could have benefits. Like I include, teleporting-on-foot should take longer from now on, while with your own purchase car it takes you normal/short time. Also, taxis should cost money, so that there's a penalty for missing your carpool or not taking it simply.

I really think this is WAY out of the scope for FreeSO, especially since it's just too ambitious in my opinion, and there would need to be A LOT of coding done.

Maybe, but adding them as decorative items wouldn't take much if at all.

Deco cars would be really cool, imo.

Yeah, the carpool cars would be cool if you could buy them- but rare and expensive.
