Yeah, I wouldn't do this then. Just stick to FreeSO for now to play the game. You can't even play the game yet anyway with TSO-SE right now, we haven't got an Avatar to spawn yet.
I have a question you did not answer me, you could put to download the files to play TSO-SE? My friend has the same problem as my.
I can't do that, but you can send them a .exe to install TSO. (I don't know what you mean by play TSO-SE.) http://largedownloads.ea.com/pub/misc/tso/
I think he means patched files. Congrats on the progress with TSO-SE~! The patcher brings back some memories.
Yes, Blayer, you should upload the files each time those are modified, that way you allowe users to easy test NIOTSO/TSO-SE progress, sharing modified distributions is not ilega, becuase you are using only for testing purposes.
This isn't exactly easy to do, and is definitely nowhere near playable. At this stage, you might even be better off trying to host our hybrid server, which is similarly not really worth it right now.
This is basically what I'm trying to say here... It requires a lot of effort, especially with the packets, x86 Disassembly, and I don't recommend it. I'd stick to FreeSO for now if you want gameplay. If you want to help, that's great, but if you don't know Hex Editing, then packet editing will be extremely difficult. I'm not saying that testing TSO-SE is a bad thing, but TSO-SE is an actual server which sends actual data... Please be aware of this as you move forward if you DO choose to help test TSO-SE.
Still building precompiles binaries is requiered for do some testing, can you help users by posting those with the changes you made in hex??
I have managed to get skill points working, although assigning them to actual skills doesn't work yet. (I HAVE tried... >_>)
