Interesting. I had a similar problem on my laptop and for some reason OpenAL was not installed correctly. Did you tried reinstalling it?

I read in the support section that the game now forces DirectX mode witch is incompatible with your graphic card or DX setup. That's why your game doesn't work.

Looks like there's a problem with DirectX. Did you try running it as an administrator?

In my case I cannot play in windowed mode but it works in fullscreen. The Windowed option in CFG no longer works properly at least for me.

UPDATE: If you set Widowed to FALSE the game doesn't work correctly in fulscreen, setting it to TRUE fixes that but real Windowed mode is impossible.

Ok so the game no longer works correctly in fullscreen after the update at least on Intel HD graphic 4000. Everything is a little offset in vectrical and screen flickers sometimes. At last the game crashed itself on exit... and crashed my PC.

Even via CFG file?

Did you run it as an administrator?
