I'm not blaming you. Just informing about the current situation. If there is any helpful information I can gather and provide (or tools to run), just tell me.

Thank you! Now, it works and it's truly perfect.

    FreeSO on Linux!

I think I cannot fully follow. For me it still looks like: $ sudo apt-get install libsdl2-2.0-0 Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done libsdl2-2.0-0 is already the newest version.[…] 0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove […]...

    FreeSO on Linux!

How did you reinstall the game files in order to fix the problem about the missing SDL2.DLL? Fore those who are interested: The weird graphic that I reported in dist-255 also occurred when using the nvidia-drivers 367.35. It's apparently neither a problem specific to mesa nor an outdated...

I will not rest until im playing this game

The packingslips.rar contains a folder named packingslips and that one contains the missing uigraphics.xml. Apparently, the extraction went wrong.

Any Chance the Game Will be Browser-Based?

Can Macs boot Live-Linux from USB? If so, create a Live-Linux-USB-Drive, install the game in that.

    I REALLY NEED HELP!

My Spanish is not so good. Could you maybe figure out which exact filename / registry entry is missing? On the photos of your files, I can only see files but no folders? Are they complete as well?

    FreeSO on Linux!

I renamed the The-Sims-Online to game, extracted the game files to the parent directory and now I can start it but the graphics don't look so appealing:

    FreeSO on Linux!

It did work indeed. Now, the main window actually opens and I get new errors: ~/TheSimsOnline/drive_c/Program Files/Maxis/The Sims Online/TSOClient$ mono FreeSO.exe X11 Error encountered: Error: BadCursor (invalid Cursor parameter) Request: 95 (0) Resource ID: 0x3800005 Serial...

    FreeSO on Linux!

I did run FSO.Debug.exe, FSO.IDE.exe and FreeSO.exe. After deleting the Windows-directory, FSO.Debug.exe still complains about the missing path and the other two still have this error: ~/TheSimsOnline/drive_c/Program Files/Maxis/The Sims Online/TSOClient$ mono FreeSO.exe [ERROR] FATAL UNHANDLED...

    FreeSO on Linux!

Maybe I put those files in the wrong directory? I extracted the .zip to The Sims Online\TSOClient\ and ran the Mono binaries from there. Was that right? Furthermore, I don't understand the exception "System.EntryPointNotFoundException: RegisterRawInputDevices"

    FreeSO on Linux!

Oops. I explained that wrong. I ran the game directly in Mono and only the EA-Installer was ran in wine: ~/TheSimsOnline/drive_c/Program Files/Maxis/The Sims Online/TSOClient$ mono FSO.Debug.exe Unhandled Exception: System.Exception: Tuning.cs: Invalid path: C:\Program Files\Maxis\The Sims...

    FreeSO on Linux!

I'm just running mono from the Ubuntu/ElementaryOS-repositories. I installed The Sims Online using the EA-installer (running in wine), unzipped the current FreeSO-build to TSOClient and started to run FreeSO.exe and FSO.Debug.exe in wine mono (Sorry. I got that wrong. I was running the Installer...

    FreeSO on Linux!

Which version are you running? I tried to download dist-251.zip and run mono FSO.debug.exe but it complains that C:\Program Files\Maxis\The Sims Online\TSOClient\/tuning.dat isn't a valid path. That is certainly true on Linux. How can I tell the client where to fine my equivalent to the...
