Is playing another Sim allowed?

Hi, I've had a hard time getting my game installed and when I got done installing it and created my first Sim it kept crashing. I've read that I might have needed to change the name to something more unique so I did and the same happed so I tried again well anyway that wasn't the issue and its resolved and I got to play for the first time lastnight but I picked a Sim that I don't really like so I was wondering if I pick one of my other Sims to play will I get banned? Total noob here I apologize. Great game!
 
You are allowed to play the other sims in your account, you are just not allowed to play both at the same time.
