Odd inbox mail

I can't actually open the message, but it reads:

! !! 21:21 4/2/2014 The Sims Online Please stop remaking our game

As if I could. I can barely figure out how to reach a server, let alone remake an entire game. lol
I think the last time I played was 2006, maybe 2007. Did they just send this message out to everyone in hopes that they would reach the right person or what? I'm amazed they even still had a server going in 2014. Am I the only one that got this bizarre inbox message?

It's a joke, I've hardcoded that in there while the mail system is incomplete.

that msg has been there for a long time .... I think most of us knew it was just a joke!

Awww, I thought EA made a hardcoded inbox message in the The Sims Online executable that would only show after 2014, after all, TSO closed 2008, so they just added that message as a joke for someone who was reverse-enginnering the game.

(I also found that message by accident (by accident = clicking every button in the UI))
