WHAT? Somebody is trying to mess this all up? That pisses me off!
I did however fear too many people whould try to play.
But no matter why, I can wait some more. This is a huge undertaking, so I can wait knowing good things are coming.
And, the install updater wants me to re-download The Sims Online even though it's already on my system. Is this normal?
EDIT: Skipped that step. It just took a second to start downloading the new FreeSO. Sorry for hogging the thread!
Alright, thanks Alex.
Quick question. On the register page, is the "username" what our Sim name will be? And, am I correct in that it can't be changed?
Just FYI, I downloaded the latest build (415) and transferred those files to my current FreeSO folder.
Howwver, when you're on the fourm main page, the "servo build" box still shows build 398 as the current one.
Alright, I have Build 415.
What I see "login to The Sims Online" and it has a user name and password field.
After a about 15 seconds, the program opens and then restarts.
Just clarifying if that's what we're supposed to see right now.
I know a lot of people are posting right now, but I need some help.
I have the build from Dec 16th. Is that the current one? And if so, how do I register? Is it when I load up the game client?
A video of FREESO was posted to The Sims sub reddit today, so, I'm just hoping that doesn't cause any problems.... either from the company or the possible high traffic that might bring.
Hmm. I'm sorry then. I don't know what's wrong. The only time I had an issue was when I missed the note to install Open AL, the game worked fine after that. Hopefully you can figure it out. Maybe start from scratch?
That's what I'm wondering, if the company might ever take down the installation files. I mean, if they somehow got pissed and removed them. We'd be up a creek.
Awww, you mean my tiny little house is gone now? It's okay... I understood it was not going to transfer over.
But two players spent a lot of time building a skywalk... hopefully they knew the lots were being cleared.
