I won't recommend you this laptop. It has a low resolution screen, slow hard drive. Even doing even surfing on the web will be a pain. Good laptops won't be low-cost, it's always quite an investment. If you can't get FreeSO running on Mac using the tutorial, just ask for help, we'll figure out.

It should be working too. If you experience any problem using PlayOnMac with FreeSO, please ask for help into the dedicated topic.

Hi, Do not consider buying a new computer only for FreeSO. Mac release will be out soon or later, but there is others way to run it on a Mac. If you have a Mac from 2009 or above, most of them can run FreeSO without any problem.

Due to some modifications in FreeSO shipped with the beta launch, Mac support won't be available for a while. I will keep this thread updated with last news.

I don't think so. It's actually playable but not perfect. I'm still working on the installer/launcher. But you should keep in mind this is not an official build so every update released will have some delay before having a Mac version. Main problem is that Rhys has a lot to deal with before...

Currently /Content/Blueprints are in the app package under Contents/Resources. This will be resolved when a proper Mac launcher will be done. For the backspace bug I'm looking into it.
