It really does. It's felt like weeks since i played (no one to play with.. v.v) and it seems HIGHLY smooth. The animation is so unimaginably clean..I dunno if it's just me or not but the rect-routing branch feels a lot more quicker and smoother then when I last tried FreeSO.
I agree. The animations blend well and they work nicely, great work Rhys and Darren. It really does. It's felt like weeks since i played (no one to play with.. v.v) and it seems HIGHLY smooth. The animation is so unimaginably clean..
Gif again not really good at showing it, since it ends early and the sim animation clips through the wall anyways, but sims can no longer stand up or sit down through walls, and will act appropriately by trying the other directions. (gif shows him getting on from front, getting off from back)
Also, the wall snap thing also means that the paddleball will no longer go through walls and fences.
Still need to work a few things out before we can merge this.
Some other critical aspects that were completed:A critical aspect is DONE?
Hooray.
Pretty sure it's alrady available for download (the one with Routing fixes) no?Wow, Just ....WOW.
Also, when will You make the update ready for download?

No problem.oh sorry,I clearly forgot that we should download the rec-routing files instead of master files.
I'll just wait till it's officially released on the homepage before I go fooling around with my current setup. Until then I hope someone has a server ready to go for when the build does officially release!
Some unrelated news, I've organised that my 4th year university project for this year be "An Open Source Simantics IDE", so I'll be working on that over the next 6 months alongside the game.
YES PLEASE.I've organised that my 4th year university project for this year be "An Open Source Simantics IDE"
Some unrelated news, I've organised that my 4th year university project for this year be "An Open Source Simantics IDE", so I'll be working on that over the next 6 months alongside the game. I think it's much better than doing something totally unrelated, personally, as that'd just split my time even more. This is an individual project, so I won't be able to accept contributions of any form until the version for the project is complete and has been submitted for grading alongside the dissertation. The final project will be publically released, obviously and fully integrate with the FreeSO client. More on this later.
