Audio Problems

So I was in Awerlu's server, screwing around, the audio sounding terrible as always. "Par for the course" I thought to myself. It is still in development, after all. So I go to Awerlu's twitch channel, and to my surprise, his audio sounds fine. Now I'm kinda worried it's a problem on my end. Movement is also significantly more choppy on my end than it is on his (Though that part of the problem is mostly non-existent when I play offline, so that is more likely a problem with my connection. Offline play does not fix the audio problem, however).

I recorded a sample. The first 20 seconds are directly from twitch (i.e. Awerlu's). The second 20 seconds are from my computer.

Any thoughts?
 
Where did you install OpenAL from? Are you using a sound card? Any special sample rate settings?
 
Turns out he had some kind of preinstalled OpenAL. Not sure what from, or why it was broken. Might have been v1.0 instead of 1.1
