/auth.east.ea.com is temporarily unavailable

When attempting to log into my account. This notice comes up.

"/auth.east.ea.com is temporarily unavailable. This may be due to routine server maintenance or other network issues. Please try again later."

I have checked the server status and it seems to be up and running. I have previously logged in with my account as well so I know it works normally. what seems to be the problem?
 
Open the debug menu (F1) and click "Use Custom Server". Restart the game.
