Can't get job

Hey, I got a job as a restaurant waiter and tried to get a new one as a nightclub employee. I say yes to the popup asking if I want to switch jobs but I am still a restaurant waiter. Then, I tried to quit my job with the telephone and it worked and I retried it. Now, it says I do not have a job after I say yes to the popup. I also cannot use any phone interactions. I tried to get a new job multiple times and it still does not work, any suggestions?

EDIT: I tried to reenter my waiter job, and it worked. The waiter job is the only job that the game allows me to have. Are there requirements for other jobs?

The Nightclub job isn't implemented yet. Robot Factory and Restaurant are the ones that work.
