Crafted a Lemon Moon bed instead of Hand Carved

My house guest today tried to craft one of the Hand Carved Double Beds today. He thought he was successful until he realized he was given a Lemon Moon motel bed instead (don't remember the name of it but it's the green motel bed from Vacation expansion). Is this something that is supposed to happen? Is it a special item? He seemed disappointed and I had no answers for him. Thanks for reading.

It is supposed to happen,yes, and it is special, yes. The Lemon Moon version is the rare version.
It functions the same way with a different look. He can easily trade it with someone for the rustic bed if he's too disappointed by not getting the look he wanted (people will definitely jump at the chance), but he is probably better off selling it for a large amount of money and simply having a second go at the bed. He is almost certainly going to get the rustic one next time (the chance of getting the lemon moon bed is quite small)
