If I become a lot owner's roommate and we want to make a Money Lot will the owner still get money from Chalkboards/Typewriters/Code machines if I'm the one who buys all of the money objects? Or will all the income from money objects go to me when visitors use the money objects since I'm the object owner?

The only problem is that it does not automatically calculate and distribute the money - you need to do that yourself. If you can figure out how much you got in kickbacks you can add that to their tip jar. If you can't (or can't be bothered) to figure out the kickbacks then just give them a flat fee each time the machine is used for a round.
Or you can each own a machine. Divide up who's machine gets used. Swap them out each day, whoever is hosting put theirs out, whatever way you like.
