FreeSO won't do anything

Hi all,

I am using windows 7, running as administrator, and have allowed it through my antivirus and windows firewalls. When I try to open the FreeSO.exe in the FreeSO folder, it just shows me the wheel briefly and nothing happens, not even a process starts. Same thing when I try to run TSOClient.exe

Don't know what to do, thanks for any help
 
That's weird, are you sure you don't have any compatibility settings set on the executable? If not this seems like a faulty installation.
 
TSOClient.exe should at least run, even if it's the wrong executable. I'm not sure why neither of them would start.
 
I have the same exact problem on a Windows 7 machine.
It was unable to download The Sims Online and FreeSO as it stopped at a certain file, so I brought all the files over from another Windows 7 machine that was working.

But whenever I start FreeSO is tries then stops and quits.
