Installation Problems

I have a windows 7 laptop.
.Net framework and OpenAL install fine.
but when it gets to installing Sims Online it gives an error after downloading 14 files. It does that everytime I try to insatll.
I have a different Windows 10 machine that has a working install.
So I used a zip drive to bring over the following two folders and put them in the programs folder of the windows 7 machine
The Sims Online
FreeSO
Is there some way I can get the windows 7 machine to recognize those folders as a good install and be able to launch FreeSO

Yes. Put the files in a folder named The Sims Online. Then click on the TSO-only installer and install where you already have it. It will detect it and not install it again. (For example, if you have the folder in C:/Program Files/The Sims Online, choose C:/Program Files).

I'm having trouble with getting my freeSO to update. I cant play the game without updating it but it always stops when i press "ok" to restart the game an it never work. Is anyone else having this problem?

When you click ok the Updater appears (check the icons in your taskbar)

You need to let it finish and the game will restart.

I reinstalled with the FreeSO Launcher and now get this error. Not sure what to do.

That did allow me to hit "play" without it telling me to install the program.
But it says it is launching the program, but never does.

Reinstall FreeSO (FreeSO-only installer) in another location and make sure your antivirus software isn't blocking it or deleting FreeSO.exe...

I am not able to download The Sims Online or Free SO, as many users have reported - it times out.
However I have a good install from a more powerful windows 7 machine that I brought over with a zip drive.
I changed the location of FreeSo made sure windows defender was disabled, but still FreeSO will not launch?

what is minimum system requirements?
