Is the TSO Server only compatible with Windows?

I'm still waiting the The Sims Online setup finish (a lot of files...), but I have a quick and simple question:

Does the TSO Server is only compatible with Windows systems, or does it runs in Linux too? Because, if it does run in Linux (probably not), it would be easier to host servers, after all, 90% of the VPS/dedicated are running Linux systems.

(Maybe I will find the answer after I can run FreeSO)

It will be compatible with Linux, but since you need to run the game to host a server right now, it's rather hard to run right now.

Rhys, just for testing, is possible to make standalone server right now, without running game graphics rendering??
Yeah, that would be great! A simple dedicated server (example: Minecraft Servers, where you start the server in the command prompt and then the server prints useful informations (connected clients, protocol version, anything whatever useful you need to print, etc)) wouild be useful and cool! That would be way easier to start creating new servers for FreeSO (because, as I said before, 90% of the VPS/dedicated are running Linux), however I don't know if it would be possible or if it is way hard to port the server implementation to Linux. :/

(Well, years ago making a server for TSO online was nearly impossible, but look where FreeSO is now :) )

So it's not possible to run client on linux?
It's half possible. For vps, no, since you need a dedicated GPU to do that.

This exists, runs on linux, but is buggy as hell. The real version of this will have to come with the integration into the city server.
