Is There Any Developments on a Mac Version?

A while ago I remember reading about work going into a mac port of the game but that news seems to have sizzled out a little bit since then. I'm just wondering if there have been any updates recently. If not, would it be possible to make the game compatible with Parallels desktop?

I really appreciate all the work going into this game. I wanted to play the sims online so much as a child - I hope one day I can get the chance to! :)
