[LEGACY]How to join a server and install FreeSO

my friend keeps crashing this is what he keeps getting.

I install everything right but does not work ! I updated the video driver, the sound driver and etc. Help Please! I really want to play. Greetings from Brazil, and thank you very much!

Extract the build to its own folder. The PD dlls might conflict in certain cases.

Once you download the latest master dist. (Dist. 176) it is in a .zip format.
For windows 10 you can just right-click on the dist.176.zip file and click "Extract all" then a window appears which is just confirming where you want to extract. Click Ok and then a folder appears. Run FreeSO.exe from there.
For other Operating Systems that don't have this "Extract all" feature, you need to make a new a folder named whatever you want, you can name it "Dist.176" if you wish. Then go into the dist.176.zip and move all the files from the ".zip" to the folder you had just made. Then Run FreeSO.exe from the folder you moved the files to.
(Or you could always download WinRAR.)
 
I'm all confused right now.
Is the game playable or what's up? Haven't been around for quite a while now and I'd like to start playing already!

Yes, the game is plenty playable. In fact you can even play with people in multiplayer. Instructions for setting up you game is in this thread. If you want to play multiplayer, my server will be up tomorrow for playtesting, and there is an entire server list complete with the IP's for each server. One other important fact, servers don't run all the time, so you need to go with the Host's schedule.

Oh lovely, I'll try to install everything that is needed.
So I am able to play with people tonight? I'd like to play with ppl, if there's anyone online...

LetsRaceBwoi might have his server up tomorrow and mine will be as well. Here is a link to the server list: FreeSO Server List made by @LetsRaceBwoi
EDIT: Actually, I can throw my server up just show you what it's like, though I don't think anyone else will join, so it may be boring. If you want me to I'll put it online whenever your FreeSO is set up.

In game Sounds, though in my experience it is mandatory to run the game.

Server won't be online tomorrow until after 3:00 p.m. GMT -5 or later. Though I don't mind waiting if you want to try multiplayer tonight. Its up to you.
