[LEGACY]How to join a server and install FreeSO

I did all with instructions and open FreeSO.exe. Then it shows a problem like this one (It is the same as at page 16). I am installed OpenAL, and I still have the same problem.

I don't know if it is normal, but if I choose installation of OpenAl, it immediately shows that "Instalation is complete".

yes, I have everything except for the cityserver folder

I'm not sure sorry, either try another reinstall or make a topic/thread about it.

You could try deleting the openal32.dll file in 'The Sims Online' folder, might fix it. Also that installation is complete message is right, it's a very quick install.

I think it works but it's really buggy, ask rhys. However, I know that when the project is done there will probably be a mac version.

I think it works but it's really buggy, ask rhys. However, I know that when the project is done there will probably be a mac version.

as soon i got off the character creation this error message showed up and it closed the program once i clicked ok
i tried ignoring it and tried to get on a server but i think it's keeping me from going on a server even though its just audio???? idk but help me please

Download openal, install it.

If that doesn't work, delete openal32.dll in C:\Program Files\Maxis\The Sims Online and try again.
 
CAN someone please make a video on how to install this because i would really love to play this but i lack some computer knowledge:D:confused:
 
Installed FreeSO without any issues using your guide, thanks!

The worst part of it is waiting TSO finish the download data process, also, for me, the setup crashed when the "verifying files" step started... so, if anyone also had a crash in the setup process, open the "The Sims Online Setup Files" folder and open the "Setup.exe"

If your client crashes when joining a lot, download OpenAL from here: https://www.openal.org/downloads/oalinst.zip and install it ;)
