French Burgundy

When antique collector E. Strudwick Chin first laid his eyes upon it, he was on Burgundy Street in the French Quarter of New Orleans, hence the name. So fascinated by the style of the Quarter, he had the door removed from its natural location and transplanted into his house in Westchester. This odd architectural immigration of the portal gained much praise from the antique elite, who quickly set out to mass produce it. While obviously not original, this piece is forever classical.
