No locations showing up in Sunrise Crater

Hi all,
I'm new and trying to play for the first time, been trying since yesterday with no luck yet!
I made a Sim and can load to Sunrise Crater but there are no blinking lights showing at all, and no black lights, and when I zoom in the map is just vacant?
Everything says vacant lot?
Am I doing something wrong?
Please help, thank you
 
don't you have a notification when you open the game ? the first sentence be like this <<freeso appears to have closed before you successfully entered the game.>>
 
I'm having the same problem. This is my first time playing, and I can't find anything. I can't move into any of these empty lots either.
