Not able to send text via chat, only emoticons

When I first started playing this game it would occasionally give me minor issues while loading onto a different lot (such as being unresponsive for a few seconds after reaching 50%) but it would respond back eventually. However now my major issues are that whenever I send a message through the main chat window it comes out as the same line of emoticons as seen in the screenshot below.

Not only that whenever I try accessing bookmarks it gives me the error shown in the window as "Exception: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object..."

I don't know if this has anything to do with the new update, all I'm asking for is a solution

Avoid using bookmarks for now; that issue is known and being looked into.

As for the emojis (and all other silliness, chaos, madness and mayhem) ... A Merry April Fools' Day to you
