When I login and join a lot, the items on the lot aside from the Sims occupying it look all weird and glitchy. Does not do this on map screen. Can anyone help fix it?

Are you playing in 3D?
If so then the reason is because most of the models for the objects in the game are being automatically generated by the game using the 2D graphics from the game as a guide. The resulting model isn't as good quality as if a person created it manually. So the community is banding together and replacing each of them. You can see the results below in the "remeshing" forum.

If you use the launcher you'll find an option in Settings to install the Remeshing package which is all of the Remeshes that have been done up so far. You'll want to keep an eye on the date and update it on occasion as new objects are always being added.
