The Sims Online not downloading

I need to install The Sims Online files to run FreeSO, but every time I try to do so it just downloads a couple MBs and says that there was an error downloading. My internet is stable, I'm running windows 10, it's downloading on the default directory and the legacy downloader doesn't work either. What do I do?

The EA servers are *super* finicky, unfortunately.

If you want to try downloading and installing without the launcher you can download the TSO files directly from
http://largedownloads.ea.com/pub/misc/tso/Setup The Sims Online.exe
but it probably wont help
