Unable to Enter City

Hello,
I am running Windows 7 with Net Framework 4.5. (Net Framework 4.6 is not supported). I have installed the programs, registered, and created my sim. When I try to enter Sunrise Crater, I crash at 57% every time. I tried switching to DirectX, but that gave me a long error message when I tried to launch. I'm so close...any ideas on what I could try?
 
When I try to enter using OpenGL, I just get the standard Windows message "FreeSo has stopped working." On my next attempt, I get this:

When I try using Direct X, I don't even get to the login screen and get the error message below.

I tried that twice after getting your message last night. Unfortunately, it didn't help. After that I tried reinstalling TSO. When that didn't work today, I tried repairing the .NET framework. Nothing makes any difference.
 
Looks like your graphics card is probably too old to run the game. It's crashing before rendering the city, and that directx exception indicates a lack of support.
