Version 0.1.11 is now out! :)
It features revamped city rendering, music playback and stability fixes.

Issues we are aware of:

  • Sim has gone missing in City View (we're not quite sure yet.)
  • City map doesn't currently match East Jerome (because the current city is hardcoded at the moment.)
  • Input priority needs to be given to the UI in City View (right now you'll zoom in when clicking the UI.)
  • Client crashes when minimizing and maximizing in City View (this is being worked on.)

As per usual, please report any bugs! :)

Also, if any more of you start getting crashes logging in that are not solved by deleting CharacterCache please say!

butterflies in my belly!! <3 I love you guys! <3

Still crashing at 75% on loading even with deleting CharacterCache folder while my friend's account works, so it may have to do with something on my account. :| Feel free to wipe it if that fixes it

Yeah, I'm still looking into this issue. I'm not sure what's going on, but Aidan is onto something, for sure.
The charactercache should be stored in a folder with the account's name, so that it doesn't remain the same when switching accounts.

My patch installing failed!
I see no difference here only version number changed to 0.1.11
When used PDPatcher first time it loaded and freezed on kiss.dll then i reopened PDPatcher and it said Client is up to date! Exiting.
I even checked with minimizing city screen and maximizing and it was still same old town.
All finnish special letters still not working and that letter ( Ä) is still that same symbol (').

Did you backup?
If so, replace Client.manifest from your Backup folder and update again. Make sure to run the bootstrapper, not the patcher itself.
If you didn't backup, you have to reinstall.

The reason you're supposed to use the bootstrapper is because the patcher cannot overwrite any files in use by itself (namely KISS.dll and PDPatcher.exe)

Thanks now it works. :D

Sorry about that, the game currently does not have any configuration for the shadows. I'll see what happens if I try to render the options panel ingame, and see if I can replace the options we won't be using (character detail which doesnt do anything afaik, terrain detail) with ones for the city view.

There will be options for Low-Medium-High shadows and a way to completely disable them. Right now it's set to the High setting, in case you were wondering why it's so slow. :p

Hey guys so I love the new update. Finally got online made my sim Sora :) and now I am here to report some bugs I noticed..
-When you are in the map view it is very laggy to work (For me I only experienced)
-Sometimes when I click on the outfits it kind of glitches and doesn't select it.

But other than that I noticed great progress! Thanks so much the project dollhouse team! :D

ok, :) but it would be nice to have separate options for the shadows of the city map and the simulation mode

Yeah, just remembered simulation mode has its own "shadows" that can be switched off... (shadow sprites under some objects)

Options screen functioning:

All settings are saved to the config file and conserved between runs! I also fixed up the Quit dialog so that should work correctly (except clicking Logout will pop up a dialog saying NOT IMPLEMENTED!). The other two options panels, Profanity and Sound need more work. Profanity doesn't load at all due to a bug in uis parsing, and Sound displays incorrectly as horizontal scroll bars are currently not supported by the UI system.

I'm going to add the UI controls for city view and commit tonight.

Committed! There's a small bug where disabling shadows seems to switch to bi-linear texture filtering but other than that it's working fine.

What all the buttons do, only zoom in and zoom out, also i cant see the sim created in city view....

You have registered to these forums earlier than i did and you still haven't readed all posts yet. I always read posts that I haven't readed yet its a good tip for you to stay in a same boat.
There is a small icon on a thread if there is something that you haven't readed then browse pages and check if you have seen every posts.
