I had to do the manual update but as soon as I try to enter the city view about half way into the transfer the game reverts back to SAS screen and nothing happens when I click to go to city view, just stays in SAS screen.
 
Ok sorry to report this, but now after I login to my account and on Select A Sim, I click on my Sim, I get a quick error pop-up then disappears (Not sure what it says) and then it returns to the Select A Sim page and I click on my Sim and it does nothing, no response. Hope this helps something somewhat lol :)
 
City screen works for me but when I try to open sim antics in login screen it makes game crash but in city screen that button doesn't react anyhow.
 
I fixed a bug and removed some unused packet details from the city server. Should be slightly more stable now (I.E not crash).
Now: Making sure the client doesn't crash when receiving a packet it can't decrypt. Maybe I'll even figure out what's wrong with encryption :)
 
I gave up on trying to login so I just reinstalled PD.
So I'm on version 0.1.5.0.
Stops at 25% at login so I'm assuming servers are down.
 
:Sigh:... So makes sense if no wonder it does not work because u using a very old version o_O
The patcher is independent of the client. I was able to update to 0.1.22.0 using an older version of the patcher before I compiled the one that contained the 64bit fix.
 
Last night I made GonzoNet throw an exception when decryption goes haywire. I think I might have the client respond by requesting a packet be re-sent.
Anyhow... Once that's done, I'm taking time out from actual development to focus on building the prototester. It should have been done a long time ago.
Note to self: in addition to being able to launch multiple client instances, I should have the ability to step through the protocol. Should be useful!

Oh, and I won't be selling Project Dollhouse to MicroSoft for 2,5bn USD anytime soon. Maybe if they offer me 5bn...

Dont know what is wrong with this version, but now in lot debug grpahics looks weird:

My client logs in perfectly, but when it does, it shows the sim screen, and gets stuck there. Meaning, i log in, it connects, i select my sim, and then it shows the selection screen again. But it doesn't work this time.
 
It just worked for me, I tried it. :3

Also, no player is on the drop-down box in the inbox. :/

EDIT: I found that MessagesCache is causing a build error.

Before I had a chance to implement packet resend, I found a strange bug in GonzoNet yesterday.
It was reading one too many bytes when receiving a packet. The login server seems to be unaffected by the changes I made (how, I have no idea), but the city server is currently... disconnecting the client (I think that's what's happening), because it isn't able to determine the first packet's header. It's been relying on this bug...!
Hopefully fixing this will also fix encryption between client and city server. :)
 
Has a lot of people been into the city server? Just wondering because I got in but it froze the entire game when I entered.
