Okay, fixed it as far as I can without modifying the server. The client does not know the GUID of users sending messages to it, so it will show an error message if you attempt to respond to any messages you recieved before opening a window for them.

I'd fix this if I had access to the server - and afr0 apparently just disappeared until friday, so I guess we're stuck.

Here's the latest build if you want to try it out, but if you want to test it out with someone else you'll need to make sure both of you open the chat window before you send any messages (or when it tells you the other person "can't be found", just reopen the chat window)

Sorry I had no latest version yet and i crashed when I tried to answer you but im now gonna download it.
 
I crashed my client by minimizing client and now im no more able to open city screen with any of my characters.


Nothing happens when tries to click characters.
 
Yeah there's some weird bug that's preventing you from logging in with your characters after you close the game. I'm not sure why - because I haven't contributed to the network code.
 
Ugh! I was catching up with what was going on in project dollhouse and now I'm really anxious to play it!! (I might be on around 5:00 FYI.):)
 
Why not to get the latest version ported to xna 4.0?? instead of still using xna framework 3.1 reference...
 
Because the monogame port doesn't function yet! Once HouseBatch or whatever it was called draws correctly we'll switch to Monogame 3.2.
 
Never mind, it's called 2DWorldBatch.fx and is the shader we use to draw the lot.
 
Yes, that is was i talked about, those content fx need to be fixed to have it work like a Monogame FX, that HouseBatch is some big deal??

City server was pissed off cos someone was trying to send it an empty message (string).
So I'm going to make sure that if that's the case, it will flat out refuse to process the packet. It should be fair to say we're working out enough kinks in the client that this will not prevent messages from getting through.
 
I made the servers into grammar nazis.
If they're taken down by an empty string now, it's cos I overlooked it.
