Ah damn, becuase I don't hear message sounds either and I keep crashing again on those not implented things, I downloaded latest version that Afr0 posted on this thread.

Oh, I was just uninstalling and re-installing The Sims Online because it was littered with random files (experimentation :p) Now I can't select East Jerome to make a sim in... Are U still on? I'm using the "debug" file that RHYs put out that is (apparently) more stable.

Yeah but I think it had that kind of issue if someone crashed on city view then none wasn't able to open city view anymore attlest the guy who crashed.
 
Hmm, the new PDInstaller you linked completely crashed my W8 PC when I tried to drag it to the desktop...Is it needed or can I just use the old one?

And yeah, I cant see East Jerome or my character (i did a factory reset, is character data local to your pc or something?)

The installer was created NSI. I don't have Windows 8, so I can't test it, I'm afraid. But you could download NSI, then follow the instructions to build the installer from here.
Also, how the hell are you able to log in with an old version? Did you run the updater and update to 0.1.24? In that case, no, the new installer isn't neccessary.
