I'm using a Macintosh and Parallels with the 64bit version of Windows 7 for all my Sims 1 games and for PD.
I searched the whole registry for the Maxis entry and found it under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node
Not only is there the Maxis Folder/Files for The Sims and all of its expansions there is also is a the Sims Online entry
I hope this somehow helps :)

EDIT: I exported the Maxis Entry, saved it on my Desktop, edited it with notepad, removed the Wow6432Node Part and imported it back in my registry. When I open PDBootstrap now it just asks if i want to back up or not, no error message with No Maxis product found anymore! Yay! :D

I just used Regedit, and Afr0 said it was in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Maxis/The Sims Online.

It's not there at all. It's a 32 bit program, so it's actually in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Maxis\The Sims Online. That's where the error is.

That is interesting, Tirea! Means your version should (hopefully) be up to date now. :)
Thanks a lot, it is crafty users like you who make my job easier. Now I figure I might have to try to find some way around the Wow6432Node after all.

Clonest: Servers are running. If your client is up to date, you should get a warning saying "Your client is out of date" (or similar) when trying to log in. Check to see if PDPatcher downloaded Client.manifest into the TSOPatch folder, and then delete that file. Now the patcher should say that your client is out of date again. But before running it, do what Tirea did with the registry!

Raincloud and Tori: See my answer to Clonest.

rmaster: See the answer to Clonest.

... no. Servers are not offline. Your client is out of date. I'll look into fixing the patcher when I get home.

Afr0: Yes my version is up to date. When I launch PDBootstrap it says my version is up to date! :D
But you still can't press Yes when it asks you if want to backup, because that crashes the Patcher... And it still says "EA.com is Temporarily Unvailable"

For everyone who thinks the "No Maxis product found" error is annoying, needs help with editing the registry like I did or wants someone else to do that I'll help you if you want! :)
Just leave me a message ;)

It's the same for all users, I think...

Never mind what I said earlier about the warning! :D
The reason you guys are getting the "EA.com is temporarily unavailable" is because your "Project Dollhouse.exe.config" file is incorrectly configured.
If you want to, you can open it in Notepad and change the Login IP from 127.0.0.1 to 173.248.136.133.
Then when you try to login, your client will say that it is out of date (I don't know why this is happening yet).
I'll release a new client version today that will have a new "Project Dollhouse.exe.config" file.
It will be released through the updater only.

I might have to tweak the updater though for the people who can't get it to work...
But for those people who want to know if their client is up to date (without going through the above), they can open "Client.manifest" in the TSOClient folder and see if it begins with "0.1.6". If it does, then your client is up to date.

Offredo95: You're right, it's the same for all users.

Afr0: Yes I discovered that when I tried logging in with the client from Github. The Github client says my client isn't up to date, the PDClient in the TSOClient Folder says "EA is unavailable" so i checked the PDClient.exe.config of both of them and discovered that they both have different IP's so I just changed the wrong IP and now I'm just waiting for the update :)

I just noticed that PDClient.exe.config is inexistent he knows not installed on my PC, Idk why. ._.

Calm your shit rmaster, the version checking isn't working right now.

I'll see if I can find anything, but at a glance the client/server look fine.

I had to give him 1 warning for that, and his "me me me first" attitude earlier. It's only 1/3 warnings so I think it shouldn't matter, but Afr0's busy.

Finally got it upto date thanks to Tirea's guide! Still getting the "EA.Com is temporary unavailable" message, but atleast it's updated. :D

ok i changed the ip and when i login it said out of date and then i looked at the "Client.manifest" to see if it starts with 0.1.6 which it does but it still says it out of date

Afr0, the version of ProtocolAbstactionLibraryD on the GitHub does not have a definition for INVALID_VERSION, so I'm not able to build TSOClient. I checked PacketType.cs myself and it's definitely not there.

FYI, i'm on 32bit Windows XP, and iv'e had no problems updating. I installed the new client 0.1.6 with this post, then I installed the new PDpatcher from this post in the TSOPatch folder, then used PDbootstrap, said no to backup, it updated perfectly, then launched the client with no problems. Then i changed the IP as Afr0 said in the ProjectDollhouseClient.exe config file, and i got the invalid version, Your client was not up to date! notification while trying to sign in,

So, all in all, no problems with 32bit windows XP haha
