Hi Mike, We currently have a discord, but this is not the best place to talk about dev. I suggest you to expose your ideas in this topic. As there is many ways to implement things, I think it may be valuable to talk about this before you jump into the code. Also, you may also consider having a...

I won't recommend you this laptop. It has a low resolution screen, slow hard drive. Even doing even surfing on the web will be a pain. Good laptops won't be low-cost, it's always quite an investment. If you can't get FreeSO running on Mac using the tutorial, just ask for help, we'll figure out.

[Temporary] Run official FreeSO on Mac using wine (Linux coming - Feedback needed)

Hi FreeSO enthousiast! FreeSO is a active project supported by our fantastic Rhys! Unfortunatly, developing FreeSO is an heavy task with multiple priorities. Even if Mac and linux systems will be supported in the future you might want to play FreeSO before we figure out a way to deliver your an...

Hi, Do not consider buying a new computer only for FreeSO. Mac release will be out soon or later, but there is others way to run it on a Mac. If you have a Mac from 2009 or above, most of them can run FreeSO without any problem.

    FreeSO on Mac

Due to some modifications in FreeSO shipped with the beta launch, Mac support won't be available for a while. I will keep this thread updated with last news.

    FreeSO on Mac

I don't think so. It's actually playable but not perfect. I'm still working on the installer/launcher. But you should keep in mind this is not an official build so every update released will have some delay before having a Mac version. Main problem is that Rhys has a lot to deal with before...

    FreeSO on Mac

Currently /Content/Blueprints are in the app package under Contents/Resources. This will be resolved when a proper Mac launcher will be done. For the backspace bug I'm looking into it.

    FreeSO on Mac

The mono bundle was generated by Xamarin using a MonoGame template. Self modification does not work. This bundle is a temporary solution. Need to work on a launcher/updater.

Mac build v0.1-preview This is NOT an official build. No warranty. No official support. Use at your own risk. Please make sure your game data is in your Documents folder and that you have patched the packingslips. (ex: /Users/<your name>/Documents/The Sims Online/TSOClient/...) Feedback...

    FreeSO on Mac

I found out this time. I haven't spotted the MonoGame/MacOS folder shipped with the FSO source code. This includes a MonoGame framework based on MonoMac (now sort of deprecated). It's now easier to use Xamarin.Mac instead of MonoMac, plus both are incompatible, you can't mix them. Replacing...
