As for the scale, on blender u can stretch 3d objects so that is not a problem for big objects like a sofa, it will look legit anyway, the problem is to get a sort of Grid that respects the sims online/the sims 1 tiles so you can get an idea of what you are doing

Using the camera script is easier than expected even for new comers to blender and gives amazing results! Here's one of my first tries while experimenting with it. They only thing missing is a z buffer generator. Look how cute this sims 4 sofa looks!
