thought there was going to seprate servers like minecraft or 7daystodie were host/owner could ban the greifers setting fires, hacking unlimited cash, or hacking ownership of lot .. getting smut lots (bad words or bad shapes) changing everything to stop sign or some other object... if theres going to be offical one server when all said and done GM is going to have hands full

You won't be able to hack anything since server verification is required for all actions, and the idea of "smut lots" is beyond hilarious. Fires aren't present in TSO, and even then guests can't cook food in lots, only roommates.

@jkjoebo, keep in mind that at this stage, there are a lot of interactions enabled just for debugging sake etc. I'm sure Rhys is going to take care of that, once we go live. I'm sure that at this point, I won't be able to go to someone elses lot and use buy mode to steal their food. :D

and I'm sure I won't be able to place fires inside of my lot
... or will i

I agree, one big server is enough and two if it gets overcrowded.

Besides, even if someone had unlimited cash it wouldn't "break" the game, TSO never worked that way, it often ended up as a fun hang-out spot or roleplaying place for people who were up to it (family, restaurants etc.) which is why it was so appealing since it had the charm of the Sims but without necessairly complicating the game.

But good lord how much I hated those who just wasted time not even talking and "skilling" ugh.

I don't think we can stop private servers either way.
I know for a fact I'm going to set up a private server - and that's exactly it. A private one where I can test some mods with friends - it will not go public and therefore will not interfere with any other playerbase. Private servers are inevitable, but alternate public servers will not gain traction unless there is something about it that separates it from the default FSO servers.

I agree, because you could do a own server and have backups from it when the big one gets down
Would be great if there were the opportunity to create own servers

(And sorry for pushing an old Thread from November 9th

Now I hope you don't mind me saying but I don't think the quality of spend our money we earn in real life(if we are doing that) is actually a good idea I think it is bad so many wanna play a free game but sooner or later has to pay a fee to do something for example the Sims free play or the Sims 3 on phone and many more that's why many more have been quitting games

It's called FreeSO for a reason :) Personally though, I won't mind spending $ each month Donating as a Thank You to the Devs for the hard work they've done on this! :D

I'm not sure what you're saying here. Are you doubting the presence of "Free" in "FreeSO"?
Sorry, I am so use to commenting that because I thought it was about something else also i forgot rewritten games like the sims online(Freeso), Pirate's online(TLOPO), and Toontown are not able to set up a money system or else they may be shut down because while i was talking about things on another site someone said that

I am very very sorry
