A bit more work on the IDE. Later today you should be able to edit any OBJD resource using a reasonable editor on this page. The object view that you see there will be reused for both the SLOT and DGRP editors.
With this great progress in IDE, you think this does not deserves unique forum section?? It is concerned to Live Release, but will also hide the progress shown about the game itself in this section.

I kinda would like a way to have everyone help each other in learning IDE. Would be cool to have a head start on using it if it's going to be a key component of FreeSo.

A category sounds like a good idea. Some time next week, things should be ready enough for me to run an evaluation - basically a two week period where I encourage people to try it out by extending objects and making their own, then answering a detailed survey afterwards or provide direct feedback. This is both part of the future development of the IDE and my 4th year project.

It's easier to rewrite the game from scratch then to is hack it. Plus it offers more flexibility and ability to port to future operating systems, such as Linux.

New build! Features WIP OBJD editor (very unstable right now..):

And it is good that it get rewrote, since there is much more possibility ^^
ah okay, just like with a Mac OS X port?
Could we use later Windows 2000 to play FreeSO maybe?

Random question -- on the City map view, how is it that there are spotlights, red active house dots, and supposed lots in existence? Where is it pulling that info from?

GRASS! This makes my eyes so happy. Obviously the things that make the game actually run are more important, but all of the visual aspects really hit me right in the nostalgia.

Had some playtest time and it was very fun.
Sadly the game froze on me twice and that repeating audio bug happens every time XD
Also noticed that if you interact with a Pizza machine you can't greet or interact with players and that boards aren't able to be written on.
I had 8 people on a lot. It felt so amazing!
Thank you guys for making this dream come true!
