sorry this is just something kind of pointless, especially right now that PD isn't anywhere near a fully playable state.
Visitor lot bonus in the sims online was a bonus you would get for having visitors spend time at your lot. The more time and the more roommates you had, the bigger this bonus would get. This is supposed to give players incentive to create fun and creative lots that people wanted to visit and have a good time at. I think it's very cool because even if you didn't run a skill or a money lot or a store, you could still get money by just being a good host and getting people to want to visit your property. Also, it made adding roommates even more crucial since everyone would benefit from a bigger cash bonus and helped to keep the lot online to visitors. But the most you could ever earn from this bonus was $8000. And you could only get this if you had 8 roommates and you managed to keep someone over for 24 hours straight! This is the formula:
(41+(2/3))*H*S = B, where H represents total number of visitor hours, S was total number of sims that lived on that property, and B was the total bonus.
Something more reasonable like being on a lot with 4 other roommates and having people visit for lets say, 5 hours, this is how much you get: (41+(2/3))*5*5= $1,016 , which sounds like a lot until you realize that it took you five hours and four other people to get it.
Personally I think that it should be more like 60*H*S=B . The payout is better but I don't think its too excessive. Now if you did the impossible and kept a lot busy for 24 straight hours you would earn: 60*24*8=11,520, which sounds like a lot but you have to remember that is only if you had visitors for 24 straight hours and 8 roommates. Sorry if this is rambling but its been in my head for a while and I wanted to put it down somehow lol.
