Cant log in (are the servers down) help me please

Whenever i try to log in in The Sims Online and log in with my EA account OR My Forum account it is stuck at 25% saying attempting EA.com for verification??? What did i do wrong can someone help me please.

Thx already for the one's who want to help me :).
 
Oh yea when i run the PDPatcher it crashes imidiantly (sorry for bad english i am dutch) i have windows 8.1 x64 so yea maybe it is incompatible (STUPID WINDOWS 8.1)

OH and also when i am running simantics & lot debug IT JUST CRASHES!! help me thx

Login server is back up. Still not sure why it crashes trying to create a character...
