Whether at work or at play, you will always find someone to join you in this densely populated metropolis. No one is ever wanting for company in Betaville!
Date of Existence
Betaville was The Sims Online's only attempt at allowing players to play as Free Will sims-sims that could roam the city without the players control-players could toggle this feature to allow their sim to be on Free Will or off. Born January 13, 2005 Betaville was the beginning of something new for the players. The city also allowed for a variety of disasters to erupt-fires, floods, even electrocution! Players could also make sim families. Each family could consist of 1 up to 4 sims per player account. Players were able to play as each of these sims when existing in the city. This allowed for players to accomplish their goals much faster than in the other cities. Money could be made much faster and sims could make many more friends. After a horrible explosion-a combination of fire and electricity-Betaville was destroyed on February 21, 2008.

Charvatia turned it's city lights back on, on February 17, 2008 as EA Land made it's way into the online world. This city soon became one of the two successing cities, a city that distroyed the lives of many other cities. Charvatia was the place for sims to meet, become friends, party, and begin lives. Charvatia was the place to be during EA Land's final days. For with the creation of EA Land and the rebirth of two Lost Cities, a land destined to destroy the others, The Sims Online would never be the same as before. Xanadu was reborn as Dragon's Cove on September 15, 2004 as one more attempt to bring new features into the online game. Dragons Cove was known as the “Hard Core” city. Bringing about the toughest of ways to find money and gain skills. Every object that is used to obtain skills have lowered by percentage, making it even harder to gain skills then it was in other cities. Also every time players traveled across the city they paid a small fee but the fee was a drop in sims needs such as hunger, bladder, fun, hygiene, and all the rest. Dragon's Cove florished with rich sim life until it's death on February 21, 2008 when EA Land grew in the online garden.

Placid rivers and lakes, emerald pastures against dramatic cliffs make for some of the most picturesque scenery East of the Western Hemisphere. As big as the town may have seemed the population was small enough for almost all residents to eventually meet and become friends, family, or even enemies. If drama existed everyone knew when and where it had become. Players enjoyed this town and never would allow it to die even at the brinks of it's existence. But the big love of the sims wasn't enough to keep this town intact for on February 21, 2008 East Jerome had to put it's close-bonds to rest for it was not a match against the title EA Land was after.

Test Center's servers crashed on December 4, 2007 and didn't boot back up until June 28, 2008 becoming Test Center 3. After the revival of the city, players continued to enjoy new objects such as custom content that was soon released to the rest of EA Land from being recognized so well.
