efforts to 'de-socialize' the game with a over-emphasis of group money objects and sim jobs havent helped retain players, quite the opposite. the skill change is more unconventional and would help with the low population, doesnt make any of it nonsense. these ideas go over very well with other players ive talked to.

Continuing to paint group money objects and online jobs as "de-socializing" the game is just de-legitimising your opinions.

i didnt say they did - i said the overemphasis on non-group activites like going to the factory by yourself or doing code and other things where its much more difficult to interact with sims take away social aspects of the game, the core reason people like me bought and paid for TSO originally wasnt to "play the sims 1 with online features". the aspect of collective efforts has really been lost lately. i could name a dozen places that used to attract players to the game they all seem to have evaoprated - my criticisms didnt cause that.
