Does the 'Teach' interaction make someone learn skill faster than a skill object?

Teach is an interaction and only lasts for a short amount of time. During that time it does give faster skill but in some cases not enough not make it worth the effort.

Teaching (severely) drains the energy and fun of both student and teacher. You can get 7 teaches in if everyone is all greened up properly and then both need to replenish those 2 motives. If the teacher has very high skill and the student has none of the skill then each of those seven interactions will give the student .15 skill points. As the student's skill gets higher they receive less per interaction. I have seen it as low as .01 skill point per interaction which I think we all can agree isn't worth the effort.

The advantages of teach seem to come mainly for hosts who are trapped on their lots but would like to skill something (else) up.

I don't know if skilling up through teaching pauses skill decay at all, but I have certainly watched people lose what they just learned while greening afterward.

"Teach" gives anywhere from .1 to .01 points per interaction (never .15). If the teachers skills are >10 points higher than the level of the student, they will get .1 per interaction. If the skill difference is between 9 and 10 then you get .09 per interaction and so on.

This can be tremendously faster than normal skilling in certain ranges (8-16ish). However, at other levels it is less advantageous.
