Exactly, so why not just make our own city.

But no, to be fair I missed this whole voting thing almost completely anyway xD
Making a city in the sims online is pretty hard, it has a lot of channels to work on just like objects (well, objects have 3 channels but u get the point) channels like Road map, elevation map, Forest type, forest density and everything has to match perfectly. Rhys planned to make a roadmap editor to make it easier for him to do the changes he wants to do, maybe he will even include all these other channels editors to tweak the map even better

It is nothing more than a set of bitmaps though Aless. It isn't that hard when you know what you're doing, the only real issue is the vertex color that give it's look more enhanced, but the rest is fairly simple. If we can edit the terrain and roads, i'm sure we can create our own cities overall.

At this point it's a matter of time, launching the game asap

Placing roads is pretty difficult, because of their non-standard format. It is also hard to know the small scale repercussions from modifying the terrain elevation, since it's hard to visualise the effect of changes to the heightmap on the real thing.
