Forum phone app

I thought of a great idea, someone should make a forum phone app (and put it under the social network category) and on the app we will be able to get notifications when someone has posted something new, and there should also be a live chatting system area where everyone can discuss things, thought, memories and stories or something like that
the app should be available for windows phone, IOS, and android

Usually forum systems have a fleshed out mobile site so that users can use the forum on their phone without downloading any extra software. XenForo works really well on my iPhone and the design is the best I've seen for a mobile forum system yet, so I don't think we don't need a dedicated app or replacement mobile site right now.

i would like a dedicated phone app tbh. Because then i wouldn't have to keep coming straight to this site to see if i have any notifactions and see what's new, and if there was a phone app there would be a sound notifaction everytime something new happened

Too soon to draw attention to ourselves with a phone app. Best solution would be to use RSS notifications.

The webpage works fine on the stock android 2.3.7 browser so I think nay. We dont need an app and if we did, I'd probably end up helping. (if anyone tried my login app, lol)

Also: to put an app on google play it costs $25 one time and for the app store 99c a year so unless we distribute the apk for android and IPA for iphone we're not getting it done anytimes soon.

well that makes much more sense, and you forgot the windows phone appstore.... And i know i use the mobile site all the time, I'm just sick of checking every five minutes to see if there is anything new or if i have notifactions, having an app would alert us. Just saying

I agree with aidancheddar.
I'm inherently sceptical to anything that will draw more attention until we've developed the game more.
Then again, if anyone wants to develop an app, who am I to stop them?
Either way, Rhys or I am not going to spend time doing it - we have more than enough on our plates as is!

I'm gonna have to second @Offredo95 on this one. You willing created your own TSO, yet your speechless that Afr0 is giving other developers, such as your self, a chance to create your own phone app for PD? The latter is easier to create then the former.
