I dont know why this video have just brought a tear to my eye. This just shows how much a connection this game had, I have heard so many rumors and things happens in this game, gosh.. people actually met in real and sometimes got married through THIS GAME. I know we are getting our game back but not us forget our veterans players ;) I don't know why I posted this and why I am talking about this. But yeah I thought I would throw that out there. Thanks so much and everyone in the team of FreeSO and lets play sometimes online :) Thank you for reading/watching :)
 
Yes I did! It made me very emotional :(

There is, or was, a comment on the video telling him to "get over it, it's just a dumb game," and all I could think was, clearly, this person has never experienced a strong connection to a game, or anything else for that matter, and then have it ripped away from you. Sadness is relative-- not everyone feels it the same way, or for the same things.

I hope this man finds this community, it would truly make me happy.

Saw that comment too,
This person never had any emotions, when i think about 2013-2014, where every task you can do in Project Dollhouse (old name) you just got an Instant crash, you couldn't walk you teleported yourself to the object, you went on toilet completely not on it, washed hands with no sink or washbasin i dont know the name, or while you forced a fire on the cooker, everything could crash, but now its going back to its previous game (before close 2008)
I love The Sims 1 Online i stucked on into The Sims 2, because in 1 you couldn't age so i didn't like the game that much but the Magic Town was Just GREAT, something that was back then better while in Sims 2 u have just a frickin castle (one lot only for both side dark and white magic)
 
I've had people tell me to get a life and other things also .... I remember seeing this video a few yrs ago and thought .. yeah, I know how you feel man, I feel the same ...
I wonder if he knows about this site.

yeah , that's one of the first videos I saw upon the announcement of EaLand's closure. well, is anyone going to contact him to let him know? if not then I will :)
 
Seeing this made me browse videos on Youtube about TSO closing. Some are real tear-jerkers! I almost lost it myself!

I've been watching and rewatching these for years. They still get me. I think it's a combination of wishing I had been there in those last moments, and remembering my own moments from playing.

I never had a chance to play TSO. I always wanted to! I played every single sims game, but being so young, my parents would never pay for it.

Ah, I'm sorry to hear that. I was only 14, and I had to rely on my parents to pay for it... which I was surprised they were willing to, as we were very much low-end middle class. But, my dad thought it very important that I get to explore all the computer endeavors I wanted, in hopes that I would be computer saavy for the future. It kinda worked, I guess.

I'm glad this project will give you the chance to experience TSO... I KNEW that there were so many out there that missed out on this game and would be willing to play if EA took the time to redo it right. Their loss.

That is awesome! Way to go dad! I am happy you got to experience it! I actually have some bad news, I still haven't had a chance to download and sample it yet! I posted a discussion under the support section (I hope I posted my question in the right forum.) I am down a computer, so I can't download anything just yet! This is mental torture!

Oh sad! You don't have a computer right now? Well, the game isn't fully done, but I can understand your wanting to try it out. I have a few vids on my YouTube showing a few things, but all I really currently do is build, which is something I already do in my offline game lol. I hope you get your comp up and running soon!

Mine recently hit the curb! I use a school computer, and of course I cannot download games to it. I hope I can figure something out. I am eager to play! I will def have to check out your channel and see all the rage!
