how do you download the client

Okay lets start from scratch bear with us.

Can you upload a file "Picture" of the error you get ? Trying to keep up.

It is meant for everyone. Stay positive. Have you installed....https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=5555

Even though you are x64 you need to install x32 too... that's the link

yes i have tried that, i also get a a error message with that saying that my computer does not meet the requirements to install this software and that a newer version has been detected on the machine. but when i go to uninstall software on my c drive i can see that i have them all on my comp going from 2008, 2010 and 2013

Do not delete those Visual C++ no matter what year they are...you may have downloaded more than once. Do you have Windows 10?

Ok got it, don't run the installer from that folder. Just extract it all onto the desktop then run it from the desktop.

You're having User Account Control errors because Program Files is a protected directory.

yes i extracted all the files.

Sonia ...question, do you have the FreeSO files already downloaded. I am not talking about the New Download. Previously already downloaded FreeSO.

This is what I did to clean confusion on my side. I had a mess on FreeSO downloads. I had to with my time. Uninstall and remove any folder I had installed already. And Install from scratch FreeSO. From the @play.freeso.net

openal installs with the installer when you choose 'install everything'

Hmm your problem is tough.

Do you use antivirus?

Hi, I am having the same issue. I am not using an antivirus.

Also I do not have OpenAL which is probably the issue. Clearly I don't have it because the FreeSO installer isn't working
