Hello Niotso and Project Dollhouse fans! I am here to ask exactly how does the CAS work? I mean I heard that it was gonna come out sometime this summer but the online game its self is gonna take next year. So in the mean time... I was wondering how is the Create-A-Sim and The names work. Will we name then whatever we want, and then they will be saved for when the game goes online? Thanks for the work guys! :)

LETS BRING BACK OUR GAME!!!!

Hi Sora! :D

The CAS you put your Sim's informations and names. No more! :p
When you play in the CAS you will put only it.After this you will see the City.

Sorry, my English is bad! :( (I'm Brazilian)

Yes,but you can create your Sim in CAS,and i'm brazilian too

Please allow me to correct you - the first gameplay elements will come together in the first year. Our first goal is to enable users to buy lots and have multiple sims moving across a map. This might take a year, or it might take six months. It is difficult to really tell until we start working on it.
But I can say right now that if we're going to continue being two developers working on it, both of whom are busy with other things, it will most likely take at least two years to get any basic gameplay elements up and working (sim to sim and sim to object interaction being the most difficult things to implement).

Afr0, that's definitely reasonable. I wouldn't have expected any kind of release this year. And who knows if and when you end up with more workers in the distant or not-so-distant future.

That said, will there at least be some kind of database to store names, so that we could reserve them for future registration to avoid anyone else selecting our names?

Yeah, like I've already pointed out, the first release which is coming very soon will allow you to create characters so they'll be stored in our DB.
Good thing you mentioned this - reminds me I need to implement code for checking if a name exists in the DB!

YES! So,I have a quick question though,And to be honest,Sorry for having a question or 5 each day i come to this forum,WHich is everyday,But i honestly never played it. But when we sign up with our usernames and passwords,Will the username be used for all 3 characters to be used throughout public,Or what we name our 3 2 or 1 character(s) be out to the public instead of username to log on?

Yes, your three characters will be attached to your username.
You could theoretically create multiple accounts, but we might (probably should) implement a limit to IPs so that one person can't register 100 accounts.

Personally, I'd put 4 account limits because a household shares 1 ip (that means a family will need an account each, so they can play online with each other) if you get what I mean!!!
